Mahmoud Salah linked with Al Ahly in Egypt transfer rumour

Egyptian left winger Mahmoud Salah, 18, is rumoured to be a target for Al Ahly while under contract at El Mahalla in Egypt’s Premier League.

The reported interest concerns a move between two clubs competing in the same league, with Salah’s current deal at El Mahalla running until 30 June 2029. That contract means any transfer would require an agreement between the clubs rather than a free move.

Salah’s listed market value is €350,000, although no transfer fee has been reported in connection with the rumour. The teenager is currently registered as a left winger and remains an El Mahalla player.

Al Ahly are one of Egypt’s leading clubs, but there is no confirmation that an offer has been made or that negotiations have taken place. The rumour therefore remains at an early stage, with Salah’s long-term contract the clearest factor in assessing the potential move.

For now, Salah remains contracted to El Mahalla through June 2029.
