Mahmoud Kamal: Egypt winger joins Kafr Elzayat on free transfer

Egyptian left winger Mahmoud Kamal has joined Kafr Elzayat from Petrol Asyut on a free transfer, becoming the latest player to switch clubs in Egypt.

The 29-year-old completed the move on 9 August 2026 and has signed a contract with Kafr Elzayat running until 30 June 2028. The deal brings Kamal to the club after his time with Petrol Asyut, who play in Egypt’s Premier League.

Kamal operates primarily on the left wing and is naturally right-footed. His arrival gives Kafr Elzayat an experienced attacking player capable of playing from the wide areas, with the Egyptian now committed to the club for the next two years.

Born on 16 June 1997, Kamal has spent the latest stage of his career in Egyptian football. His move from Petrol Asyut was completed without a transfer fee, with Kafr Elzayat securing his services as a free agent.

The transfer was registered on 9 August, ahead of the start of Kamal’s contract. He will now continue his career with Kafr Elzayat, where his agreement is scheduled to remain in place until the end of June 2028.

Kamal’s switch represents a change of club within Egypt and keeps the winger in domestic football after his spell at Petrol Asyut. The move also marks the beginning of a new contract lasting almost two years from the date of completion.

The Egyptian has therefore left Petrol Asyut and joined Kafr Elzayat on a free transfer, with the deal confirmed through to 30 June 2028.
