Mahmoud El Kayssoumi: Moroccan midfielder joins KACM Marrakech on free transfer

Moroccan attacking midfielder Mahmoud El Kayssoumi has joined KACM Marrakech on a free transfer from Bahraini side Hidd SCC. The 24-year-old has signed a deal running until June 2028 with the Botola Pro Inwi club.

El Kayssoumi, who was born in Tanger and stands at 1.81m, returns to Moroccan football after a spell in Bahrain, where he moved in January 2026 when he left Al-Shabab Club to join Hidd, also on a free transfer. His arrival in Marrakech adds a left-footed creative option in the attacking midfield positions for the former Moroccan champions.

Before heading abroad, El Kayssoumi had already built up senior experience in Moroccan competitions. He featured in the Botola Pro Inwi and the Botola Pro 1 relegation phase, as well as in the Excellence Cup and Coupe du Trone, accumulating over 500 minutes of top-flight and cup football. His most recent league campaign included appearances totalling 405 minutes in the Botola Pro Inwi and 51 minutes in the relegation round.

El Kayssoumis domestic career began with Ajax Tanger, from where he moved to Ittihad Tanger in August 2022. He later joined Beni Mellal in January 2025 on a free transfer before securing his move to Al-Shabab Club later that year, marking his first step outside Moroccan football.

Now tied to KACM Marrakech until 2028, El Kayssoumi completes his latest move as a permanent signing after leaving Hidd SCC at the end of his spell in Bahrain.
