Mahmoud El Kayssoumi: Moroccan midfielder joins KACM Marrakech on free transfer

Moroccan attacking midfielder Mahmoud El Kayssoumi has joined KACM Marrakech on a free transfer from Bahraini side Hidd SCC. The 24-year-old has signed a deal with the Botola Pro Inwi club running until 30 June 2028.

El Kayssoumi, a left-footed playmaker born in Tanger, returns to Moroccan domestic football after a spell abroad in Bahrain. His move strengthens KACM’s creative options between the lines, with the club committing to a two-year contract that ties him down through the 2027-28 season.

The midfielder arrives from Hidd SCC, whom he joined in January 2026, also on a free transfer from Al-Shabab Club. Before heading to the Gulf, El Kayssoumi built his career in Morocco with a series of moves through the domestic pyramid.

He first stepped up from Ajax Tanger to Ittihad Tanger in August 2022, before switching to Beni Mellal in January 2025. A subsequent move to Al-Shabab Club in July 2025 took him out of the Botola system for the first time, ahead of his short spell with Hidd SCC.

El Kayssoumi has already featured in the Botola Pro Inwi, making league and relegation play-off appearances that gave him top-flight experience in Morocco, as well as minutes in domestic cup competitions. Standing at 1.81m, he operates primarily as an attacking midfielder and offers a left-footed option in central areas.

The deal sees El Kayssoumi join KACM Marrakech on a permanent free transfer, with his contract confirmed until the summer of 2028.
