Mahmoud El Kayssoumi: Moroccan midfielder joins KACM Marrakech on free transfer

Moroccan attacking midfielder Mahmoud El Kayssoumi has joined KACM Marrakech on a free transfer from Bahraini side Hidd SCC. The 24-year-old has signed a deal running until 30 June 2028 with the Botola Pro Inwi club.

El Kayssoumi, a left-footed playmaker who can operate in the advanced midfield role, returns to Moroccan football after a spell abroad in Bahrain. He moved to Hidd SCC in January 2026, also on a free transfer, and now heads back to his home country to continue his career in the top flight.

Born in Tanger and standing at 1.81m, El Kayssoumi has already built up experience across several Moroccan clubs. After emerging with Ajax Tanger, he earned a move to Ittihad Tanger in August 2022, before subsequent switches to Beni Mellal and then Al-Shabab Club. His latest move to Marrakech marks another step in a career shaped by a series of free transfers.

El Kayssoumi has previously featured in the Botola Pro Inwi, making league appearances and gaining minutes in domestic cup competitions, experience that KACM will hope translates quickly into their midfield setup. His contract in Marrakech ties him to the club for the next two seasons.

The confirmed free transfer from Hidd SCC to KACM Marrakech was completed on 20 July 2026.
