Mahmoud Abdel Rahim, widely known as Genish, has accused his former club, Modern Sport, of unfair treatment following his departure.
The experienced goalkeeper, now with Al-Ittihad Alexandria, shared a heartfelt statement on Instagram, revealing he is yet to receive his financial entitlements despite honoring his full contract.
Genish, who captained Modern Sport for four seasons, emphasized he served with honesty and dedication, always wearing the badge with pride. After his contract ended last season, he claims the club not only withheld his dues but also tried to make him give up 75% of them, a demand he says had no legal grounds.
He explained that repeated promises from top club officials, including the president and director, were never fulfilled. The situation has caused him mental stress and financial damage.
Though many former teammates filed complaints, Genish stayed silent out of respect. Now, he insists he will fight for what is legally his, rejecting all forms of pressure and unfair settlement.
The veteran goalkeeper played a key role in Modern Sport’s rise before joining Al-Ittihad.
