Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba has reaffirmed his wish to return to Al Ahly, stressing that the team needs him both on the pitch and in the dressing room, after terminating his contract with Kuwait’s Al Qadisiya due to unpaid wages.
He explained that he currently has multiple offers from clubs in Egypt, Iraq, and the UAE, which he is studying with his agent Ahmed Yahya, but made clear that “home” for him remains Al Ahly.
Kahraba admitted that if a comeback to Al Ahly is closed, he could join another side in the Egyptian Premier League, while ruling out a return to Zamalek, despite his respect for the club and its supporters.
He noted that there have been no official talks yet with Al Ahly’s board but insisted he would decide quickly if the club called, adding that Al Ahly “needs Kahraba” and that he has matured and changed a lot in recent years.
Speaking about Emam Ashour’s internal crisis, Kahraba backed his former teammate, saying Ashour accepts his punishment, continues individual training, and will come back stronger, reminding fans that “we all make mistakes and need someone to stand by us.”
