Maher Sharoumah: Chadian striker joins Qilwah Club on a free transfer

Chadian centre-forward Maher Sharoumah has joined Saudi Arabian side Qilwah Club from Jubbah Club on a free transfer.

The move was completed on 9 August, bringing the 30-year-old forward to his new club after his spell with Jubbah. Sharoumah is listed as a centre-forward and will continue his career in Saudi Arabia with Qilwah.

Sharoumah was born on 12 May 1996 and holds Chadian nationality. He stands 1.78m tall and is right-footed, providing Qilwah with an experienced attacking player who operates through the middle rather than from a wide position.

His departure from Jubbah marks a switch between two Saudi Arabian clubs. The transfer was completed without a fee, and Qilwah have not announced a contract length for the forward.

Sharoumah’s arrival gives the club a recognised central attacking option as they prepare for the next stage of his career. His recorded position is centre-forward, with his preferred foot listed as his right.

The move also keeps the striker in the same national football system, limiting the change in surroundings while taking him to a new club. Qilwah are now the latest side to employ Sharoumah, who has made the switch at the age of 30.

Sharoumah’s transfer from Jubbah to Qilwah was completed as a free move on 9 August 2026.
