Magusa TG bring in veteran Senegal midfielder Badou Ndiaye
Badou Ndiaye has joined Magusa TG, giving the Cyprus club a seasoned Senegalese defensive midfielder with experience in Turkey, England, Greece and Saudi Arabia.
The 35-year-old was without a club after leaving Gaziantep FK on 1 January 2026. He now begins the next chapter of his career with Magusa TG, completing the move on 4 August 2026.
Ndiaye made 14 appearances for Gaziantep before his departure. He had joined the Turkish side from Pendikspor in September 2024 on a free transfer, adding another spell in the Turkish top flight to a career that has largely been shaped by his time in the country.
The right-footed midfielder has made 223 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig, scoring 35 goals and providing 28 assists. His record also includes 14 appearances in the Turkish Cup, where he has registered five assists.
Ndiaye won the Turkish league twice with Galatasaray, in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, and lifted the Turkish Cup with Galatasaray in 2019 and Trabzonspor in 2020. His second league title came in a campaign in which he scored three goals.
Before establishing himself in Turkey, Ndiaye played for Norwegian club Bodø/Glimt, joining from Diambars FC in Senegal. He helped Bodø/Glimt earn promotion to the first division in the 2012-13 season and was named the Adeccoligaen Player of the Year during that campaign.
His career has also included spells with Stoke City, Al-Ain, Fatih Karagumruk, Aris Saloniki and Adana Demirspor. He spent time in the Premier League with Stoke, making 13 appearances and scoring twice, while his wider record includes European competition appearances in the Europa League and Champions League.
Ndiaye’s international background is reflected in his Senegalese nationality, while his club career has taken him across several leagues and competitions. Standing 1.80m tall, he has primarily operated in defensive midfield.
Magusa TG completed Ndiaye’s arrival on 4 August 2026.
