Maghnes Akliouche says goodbye to AS Monaco

Maghnes Akliouche has officially left AS Monaco and joined Paris Saint-Germain in a transfer reportedly worth €50 million.

The France international has signed a contract running until June 2031, beginning an exciting new chapter with the French champions.

The 24-year-old winger, who grew up in the Paris region, described the move as a source of immense pride. He thanked PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Luis Campos, Luis Enrique and everyone who supported his development. Akliouche also said he was eager to wear the club’s famous shirt, continue improving and give everything for the supporters.

Before turning his attention fully to PSG, Akliouche took time to acknowledge Monaco, the club that shaped his career. He spent eight years in the principality after arriving as a teenager with the dream of becoming a professional footballer.

“Signing for Paris Saint-Germain is a huge source of pride. Having grown up in the Île-de-France region, joining such a prestigious club means so much to me and my family. I would like to thank President Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Luis Campos, and Luis Enrique for the trust they have placed in me, as well as everyone who has supported me to this day. I can’t wait to wear this jersey, to continue developing within this great club, and to give my all to defend the PSG colors in front of its fans,” he said.

In his farewell message, Akliouche called Monaco a second family and credited the club with educating, correcting and encouraging him. “Today, this is not goodbye, it is thank you,” he wrote.
