Magesi FC assistant coach Jackie Ledwaba has offered an advice to Orlando Pirates amid the imminent departure of head coach Jose Riveiro.
The Spanish gaffer is ending his three-year stint with the South African giants at the end of the campaign. However, the Soweto outfit will have to appoint a new trainer to lead the club in the upcoming campaign.
According to the assistant coach of Magesi, the best successor to Riveiro would be someone from his backroom staff.
“For myself, I can say: continue working with those coaches who have worked with him. They understand the system very well, and the player will understand it too, and the team will continue from where coach José left off. So I think continuity is the best way,” Ledwaba said in an interview with KickOff.
Jose Riveiro will be hoping to end his stint with Orlando Pirates in style. The club is currently in the semifinals of both South African Cup and the CAF Champions League campaign.
Having shared the spoils with Pyramids FC in the first leg of the semifinals, Pirates will have to adopt a strategy to ensure they progress ahead of their opponent in Egypt.
