Magesi FC captain Elvis Chipezeze has called on his teammates to move on following the resignation of their head coach Clinton Larsen.
Larsen recently stepped down following their Carling Cup loss to the All Stars in South Africa. However, veteran coach Owen da Gama has taken temporal charge of the team.
As a result, captain Elvis Chipezeze has challenged his colleagues to remain committed to enhancing their season.
The Zimbabwean player emphasized the need of being together and putting in a lot of effort to escape the relegation zone.
“It’s tough, but as players, we have a job to do,” Chipezeze stated. “We can no longer talk about who has left; we must focus on the now. Right now, we’re rock bottom, and it’s on us to find solutions and work our way out of this situation.”
“We can’t hope for things to change without putting in the work. its hard work from now until the season ends.”
Larsen led Magesi FC to historic milestones including retaining their second-tier status, winning the Carling Knockout Cup, and also earning promotion to the top flight.
The Limpopo-based side are currently preparing for its 2025 season opener against TS Galaxy.
