Mael Junior Afoumon: Ivory Coast forward joins Kasba Tadla on free transfer

Cote d’Ivoire centre-forward Mael Junior Afoumon has joined Kasba Tadla on a free transfer, completing his latest move in Morocco.

The 22-year-old’s switch from EJSC was registered on 6 September 2026. No transfer fee was involved, and Kasba Tadla have not announced the length of his contract.

Afoumon arrives after a spell with EJSC, having moved to the club from Wydad Fes in January 2026, also on a free transfer. He made one appearance in the Coupe du Trone Marocaine, playing the full 90 minutes.

The forward began his senior club career in Morocco after leaving Ivorian side AS Denguele for FC Mouna in July 2020. A year later, he moved to IRF Ben Salah, before joining Wydad Fes ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Afoumon was born in Dabou and is 1.76m tall. He is listed as a centre-forward and favours his right foot, giving Kasba Tadla a forward who has spent the majority of his recent career in Moroccan football.

His arrival continues a sequence of free transfers since he left AS Denguele. The move to Kasba Tadla is the latest step in that progression, following spells with FC Mouna, IRF Ben Salah, Wydad Fes and EJSC.

Kasba Tadla have now secured the services of the Ivorian attacker without paying a fee, with Afoumon joining the club on 6 September 2026.
