Madjid Bougherra is not included in the list of 24 players announced by the Algerian coach for the CAN 2013. The defender, currently playing for Lekhwiya in Qatar, is recovering from an adductor injury that has sidelined him for six months. Despite not being in the primary list, Bougherra mentioned that he accepted the decision of the national coach and expressed his readiness to join the selection if needed.
