Madagascar name two debutants for CAN 2027 qualifiers against Nigeria and Tanzania

Madagascar manager Corentin Martins has announced his squad for the opening two matches of the CAN 2027 qualifying campaign, with goalkeeper Zacharie Boucher and forward Roman Ferber receiving their first international call-ups.

Boucher, who plays for ESTAC, and Ferber, an attacker with Atert Bissen, are the two new additions to the Barea squad. Forward Warren Caddy also returns to the selection after being left out previously.

Madagascar will travel to face Nigeria’s Super Eagles on 25 September before hosting Tanzania’s Taifa Stars four days later.

The Barea missed the last CAN but reached the CHAN final. They will look to draw on that run as they begin their latest qualifying campaign and aim to recover from their absence at the previous continental tournament.
