Israeli powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv have turned their attention to signing Congolese international Prestige Mboungou after Relebohile Mofokeng’s proposed move to the club fell through.

Maccabi Tel Aviv are said to be closing in on a move for the left winger, who plies his trade for Serbian side FK TSC Bačka Topola. This comes after a move for the Orlando Pirates star hit a snag.

According to reports, negotiations between both parties is in the final stages, with only minor details left to be agreed upon for the transfer of the winger.

Mboungou, 24, is ready to join the Israeli powerhouse unlike Relebohile Mofokeng, who appears not to be interested the move.

Last season, the 24-year-old impressed at Serbian side FK TSC Bačka Topola, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists.

With his wealth of experience, the attacker is expected to play a huge role for the Israeli club next season.
