Cameroonian international Moumi Ngamaleu could soon be swapping Moscow for the Mediterranean, as Maccabi Tel Aviv lines up a €3.5 million bid to secure the dynamic winger from Russian side Dynamo Moscow.
At 29, Ngamaleu has become a key figure for both club and country, bringing with him a wealth of experience from European competitions, notably with Young Boys in Switzerland and his current stint in Russia.
With a contract at Dynamo Moscow running until June 2026, the transfer is far from straightforward—but sources suggest the player is open to a new chapter.
“Maccabi Tel Aviv is keen to sign Moumi Ngamaleu and is considering an offer of €3.5 million to convince Dynamo Moscow,” a report from Lattaque.com stated.
Ngamaleu’s current market value sits at around €4 million, according to Transfermarkt.
His versatility and consistent performances for the Cameroon national team have made him a prime target for the Israeli giants, who are looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.
“Ngamaleu is a versatile, experienced player who can make a difference at any moment.
It’s rare to see a profile like his available on the market,” said a FIFA agent based in Eastern Europe.
Despite his extended contract, the Yaoundé-born winger is reportedly intrigued by Maccabi Tel Aviv’s offer, particularly the opportunity to play in a stable league that regularly competes in European tournaments such as the Europa Conference League.
“The player open at the start,” the report added, highlighting that the political climate in Russia and rising tensions across the European football scene may also be pushing Ngamaleu toward the Israeli Premier League.
Still, Dynamo Moscow may not part ways easily.
“The Russian club considers Moumi Ngamaleu a key player in its squad, and his recent contract extension until 2026 demonstrates a desire for continuity,” the article noted.
However, the door may not be completely closed.
“If Tel Aviv comes back with a structured project and a good amount of money, Moscow could be tempted to let it go, especially with a player who has already expressed his interest in other horizons,” a Russian journalist specializing in transfers suggested.
All eyes will now turn to the negotiation table, where the coming days could determine whether this high-profile transfer becomes a reality.
