LIGUE 1: NABIL FÉKIR NAMED LYON’S PLAYER OF THE MONTH AFTER EXPLOSIVE START
While Alexandre Lacazette has struggled to replicate last season’s prolific form, Olympique Lyonnais have found their early-season spark in Nabil Fékir. The Franco-Algerian forward has hit the ground running, netting four goals in his first four Ligue 1 appearances—highlighted by a sensational hat-trick against SM Caen.
Fékir’s outstanding performances throughout August have earned him the club’s Player of the Month accolade. The 22-year-old received a commanding 60% of the approximately 6,000 fan votes, finishing well ahead of teammates Anthony Lopes and Claudio Beauvue.
