Yassine Benzia, the Lyon striker, has faced another setback as he recently suffered a double fracture of the orbital floor during a match against Montceau with the Lyon reserves. This injury has led to Benzia being sidelined for a short period. The 19-year-old player had already faced challenges when he was sent to the reserve team by Lyon coach Rémi Garde due to perceived incorrect behavior.
During the match, Benzia received a violent elbow to the face, resulting in the double fracture. Fortunately, he won’t require surgery, but he is expected to be out of training for two weeks and out of competition for a month. This injury adds to the difficulties for Benzia, who has been seeking more playing time. He recently expressed his desire to be loaned out in January after being started only once by Rémi Garde since mid-August, in a match.
