Henri Bedimo Reflects on Olympique Lyonnais Season Ahead of World Cup
Henri Bedimo has expressed satisfaction with Olympique Lyonnais’ season, despite the club’s mixed performances. Currently quarter-finalists in the Europa League and finalists in the Coupe de la Ligue, Lyon are still fighting to secure a place in next season’s European competition. While the club has not dominated the season, the Cameroonian defender has no regrets about his personal contribution.
Speaking to Olympique-et-Lyonnais, the 35-year-old explained: “I’m quite satisfied because I think I performed quite well. I came here with a lot of desire and ambition, and we’re having a good season.”
However, Bedimo believes the season would be even more rewarding if Lyon can secure European qualification. “It will be even more successful if we manage to reach Europe. It’s a small feat to still be here because we had a lot of injuries. The refereeing didn’t help us either for a while, but overall, I think we can be proud of ourselves and our season because we played every competition to the full,” he added.
Looking ahead, Bedimo is also preparing for his role with the Cameroon national team at the upcoming World Cup in June.
