Baky Koné After Lyon’s Win Over Monaco: “We Did the Job With Our Hearts”
Olympique Lyonnais bounced back from a poor start to the 2014–2015 season with a 2–1 win over AS Monaco at Gerland in the opening match of Ligue 1’s Matchday 5.
Burkinabe defender Baky Koné praised the team’s spirit: “It’s a great victory. The reflexes are coming back. We did the job with our hearts.”
Koné, who started on the bench, explained his absence from the starting XI: “I arrived yesterday evening from the CAN qualifiers, so the coach left me on the bench at the start.”
This morale-boosting win could mark the start of better days for Hubert Fournier’s squad.
