Lyon Close to Securing Younès Belhanda on Loan from Dynamo Kyiv
Despite the recent signing of Mathieu Valbuena, Olympique Lyonnais is still pursuing Younès Belhanda, the Moroccan midfielder currently at Dynamo Kyiv. According to L’Equipe, Lyon is in advanced talks with the Ukrainian club and is close to finalizing a deal that would see Belhanda join for a loan with an option to buy.
The Dynamo Kyiv midfielder, whose contract runs until 2018, is a key target for Lyon’s management, who are eager to bolster their squad with the talented playmaker.
To push the deal forward, Jean-Michel Aulas, the president of Olympique Lyonnais, reportedly engaged in direct talks with Dynamo Kyiv’s officials on Thursday, coinciding with the Champions League group stage draw. This suggests that the negotiations are at a crucial stage, with Lyon keen to secure Belhanda’s services for the upcoming season.
