Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa Set to Join Lyon in €10 Million Deal
Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa’s transfer from AS Roma to Olympique Lyonnais is all but finalized. According to Le Parisien, the French international defender has reached a full agreement with Lyon after settling salary negotiations that had previously stalled the deal.
Yanga-Mbiwa is expected to arrive in the Rhône region as early as Friday to undergo his medical. The 26-year-old will reportedly earn a gross annual salary of €3 million, supplemented by performance-based bonuses.
Lyon will pay approximately €10 million to AS Roma for the transfer, marking a significant defensive reinforcement for the Ligue 1 side as they prepare for both domestic and European challenges.
