Luis Enrique praises Achraf Hakimi despite injury blow
Hakimi suffered a hamstring injury earlier this week, ruling him out of PSG’s Champions League semi-final second leg in Munich just as the club enters the decisive phase of the season.
The Moroccan has been in outstanding form and is widely regarded as a fan favourite, making his absence a huge emotional and tactical blow for supporters desperate to see him help push the team over the line against Bayern.
“He’s an incredible player, always at 100%. Having a player like him is like having three players. But unfortunately, he won’t be in Munich. But we’re calm because we have options. As for how long he’ll be out, I don’t want to give any information,” Enrique said.
PSG will now have to adjust without one of their most dynamic outlets on the right, with Hakimi expected to be sidelined for several weeks. Even so, Enrique insists the squad has the depth and mentality to cope, though few at the club are under any illusions about how much they will miss the energy, pace, and personality of their star right-back.
