Luis de la Fuente has made nine changes to Spain’s starting line-up for their Nations League meeting with the Czech Republic, retaining only Lamine Yamal and Baena from the previous team.
The reshuffle includes several unexpected decisions over player positions, with Roberto selected as the central striker for the first time. Fresneda has also been named at right-back.
Spain have recalled a number of key players, including Pedri, Dani Olmo, Rodri and Aymeric Laporte. Le Normand will partner Laporte in central defence, while Fran Garcia starts on the left side of the back four.
David Raya has been given the opportunity in goal as de la Fuente continues to reshape his side and assign different roles to several members of the squad.
Spain’s starting line-up is:
David Raya; Fresneda, Le Normand, Aymeric Laporte, Fran Garcia; Rodri, Pedri; Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo, Baena; Roberto.
