Luis Bossard: German-Guinean defender joins SV Sparta from Berliner SC on free transfer
SV Sparta have added German-Guinean defender Luis Bossard to their squad after completing his move from Berliner SC on a free transfer. The 22-year-old swaps the Berlin-Liga for the NOFV-Oberliga Nord as he steps up a tier in the German football pyramid.
Bossard arrives as a defensive option for Sparta following his spell with Berliner SC, where he has been operating in the back line. His switch marks a progression from state-level competition in Berlin to the broader north-east regional setup, reflecting Sparta’s intent to strengthen their squad with young, senior-level experience.
Capable of operating across the defence, Bossard’s versatility is expected to give Sparta further flexibility in their back four. At 22, he already has experience in competitive adult football, which should help him adapt quickly to the demands of the Oberliga.
The move also represents a new chapter for the German-born player with Guinean nationality ties, who now has the opportunity to test himself in a more challenging league structure. Sparta, meanwhile, gain a player familiar with the intensity and physicality of German lower-league football.
The transfer has been completed as a free transfer, with Bossard now registered as an SV Sparta player for the forthcoming NOFV-Oberliga Nord campaign.
