Lucas Ribeiro joins ES Tunis on three-year deal from Al Ittihad

Tunisian giants Espérance Sportive de Tunis have completed the signing of Brazilian forward Lucas Ribeiro from Libyan side Al Ittihad on a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.

Ribeiro becomes the latest addition to Espérance’s squad as the Tunisian powerhouse continues to strengthen its ranks ahead of the new season and its upcoming domestic and continental commitments.

The 25-year-old attacker arrives at Espérance after his spell with Al Ittihad, where he established himself as an important attacking option. His move to Tunisia represents another significant step in his career and gives him the opportunity to compete at one of Africa’s most successful clubs.

Espérance are expected to count on Ribeiro’s attacking qualities as they look to challenge for major honours both in Tunisia and on the African stage.

The three-year agreement means Ribeiro is committed to the Tunisian club until 2029, providing Espérance with long-term stability in their attacking department.

The move also underlines the club’s ambition to assemble a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts, particularly in CAF competitions where Espérance have traditionally been among the continent’s leading clubs.

Ribeiro will now turn his attention to settling into his new surroundings and working with his new teammates as Espérance prepare for the demands of the 2026/27 campaign.

With the transfer now completed, the Brazilian forward will be expected to make his mark quickly and justify the confidence shown in him by the Tunisian giants.
