Lucas Ribeiro arrives in Tunisia to complete Esperance de Tunis move

Brazilian forward Lucas Ribeiro has arrived in Tunisia to finalise his transfer to Tunisian giants Esperance de Tunis after a late change of plans saw him abandon his initial agreement with Libyan side Al Ittihad.

The attacker had reached an agreement to join the Libyan club, but developments surrounding the project at Al Ittihad forced him to reconsider his decision.

The absence of CAF Champions League football, coupled with the departure of South African coach Rulani Mokwena, played a key role in Ribeiro’s decision to seek another destination.
