Luca Zidane made the most of his chance as he returned to the starting lineup and helped Granada reach the next round of the King’s Cup with a solid display.

After sitting on the bench for the last three league games, the Algerian international showed great focus and calm throughout the match.

Zidane delivered two important saves in Granada’s narrow 1-0 win over CD Tenerife in the 1/64th round. His first big moment came in the opening half when Baldé broke through on the left. Zidane reacted quickly, diving low to push the ball back into the middle. A Tenerife player tried to finish the rebound, but a Granada defender cleared it just in time.

Granada took the lead in the 61st minute through a Ruben Alcaraz header, and Zidane protected that advantage with another crucial stop. He rushed out at the feet of an attacker, using a handball-style block that completely shut down the chance.

Granada held on for the win and will now face Elche in the next round of the competition.
