Loum Tchaouna: Burnley winger linked with Premier League move to Coventry City
France and Chad winger Loum Tchaouna, currently at Burnley, is being linked with a move to Premier League side Coventry City despite having four years left on his contract at Turf Moor.
The 22-year-old right-sided attacker joined Burnley from Lazio on a 13m deal in July 2025 and is under contract until 30 June 2030, but his future is under scrutiny following the clubs relegation from the top flight in 2025-26. Coventry are monitoring his situation as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
Tchaouna, who prefers to operate from the right and play on his left foot, made 29 Premier League appearances for Burnley last season, scoring twice and adding one assist. His performances in a struggling side have kept him on the radar of top-flight clubs, with his current market value listed at 13m.
Born in N’Djamena in 2003, Tchaouna has represented both France and Chad at youth level and first came to wider prominence when he finished as top scorer at the UEFA Under-19 European Championship with four goals in 2021-22. Before moving to England, he featured in Serie A for Salernitana and Lazio, making 57 league appearances and scoring five times.
Burnley, who signed him after his most productive spell in Italy, face a decision over whether to cash in on one of their higher-value assets following relegation from the Premier League. With Coventry exploring a deal, Tchaounas long-term contract at Turf Moor remains a significant factor in any potential negotiations.
