Louis Saha backs Victor Osimhen as a realistic Manchester United transfer

Louis Saha believes Victor Osimhen would be a realistic and smart signing for Manchester United as the club plans for a return to Champions League football next season.

The former United striker thinks the Nigerian forward has the right profile to strengthen the attack and share the load with the club’s emerging talents.

“Maybe the more realistic option would be Victor Osimhen to partner with Benjamin Sesko at some stage,” Saha said, pointing to the demands of competing on multiple fronts. “The Champions League is going to be huge for the club next season.” With United likely facing a heavier schedule if they secure a top-five Premier League finish, Saha stressed that adding another top-level striker could be crucial.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray permanently after a loan spell with the Turkish club. The deal was finalized despite Napoli’s initial request for banking guarantees, resulting in a permanent €75 million transfer scheduled for July 2025. It includes a four-year contract and a 10% sell-on clause.
