Lorient target Roma’s Robinio Vaz in potential Ligue 1 move
French and Guinea-Bissau forward Robinio Vaz is the subject of a reported potential move from Roma to FC Lorient.
The 19-year-old centre-forward joined Roma from Marseille in January 2026, with the Italian club paying a reported €22m for his transfer. He is now being linked with a return to France, where Lorient compete in Ligue 1.
Vaz has yet to make an appearance for Roma in the current Serie A campaign, with no starts, minutes, goals or assists recorded so far. His current market value is listed at €18m.
The forward began his senior career with Marseille B after progressing through the youth system at Sochaux, before moving to Roma midway through the 2025-26 season. The switch to the Italian capital represented a significant step in his development, but his lack of playing time at the start of the new campaign has coincided with speculation over a possible departure.
Vaz was born in Mantes-la-Jolie and holds French and Guinea-Bissau nationality. He is 1.85m tall and favours his right foot.
Any move to Lorient would involve a player who remains under a long-term contract in Rome. Vaz’s deal with Roma runs until 30 June 2030, meaning the club retain control of his immediate future as interest from France emerges.
