Lorient midfielder Alain Traoré, who made a comeback to Ligue 1 last August against Guingamp, has unfortunately faced another setback. The Burkinabè player suffered a thigh injury during the match against Valenciennes on the 4th day of the championship, as confirmed by his coach Christian Gourcuff. Traoré will be unavailable for six weeks due to a torn thigh.
Gourcuff expressed his disappointment, stating, “(It’s) the big black point of the evening.” Alain Traoré had to be substituted in the 20th minute, with Mathieu Coutadeur taking his place. The midfielder, who has had a history of injuries, had already missed some playing time earlier.
This injury adds to the challenges Traoré has faced, including missing part of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) due to an injury sustained in the group match against Zambia. It’s always unfortunate when players have to deal with injuries, and we hope for a swift recovery for Alain Traoré
