Premier League giants Liverpool are expected to activate the buy-back clause to resign England-born Ghanaian defender Jarrel Quansah in summer 2027.
The 23-year-old left Anfield to join German outfit Bayer Leverkusen on a transfer fee worth €35 million last summer and has since established himself as a key member of the team.
Amid growing defensive crisis and possible departure of several key defenders, the Premier League giants has resolved to re-sign Quansah.
The deal is expected to happen in 2027, with Liverpool set to cough a transfer fee around €35 million, as specified in the original agreement.
Quansah has become a mainstay at Bayer Leverkusen since his arrival last summer, racking up 28 appearances, scoring 2 goals across competition.
Despite having a contract until 2030, Liverpool intends to activate the buy-back option in his contract to bring the defender back to England.
Quansah struggled for playing time at Liverpool, prompting his decision to depart the club in his quest to earn regular action.
The highly-rated defender made his debut for the Three Lions of England in November 2025, undermining chances of representing Ghana at the international stage.
He will be hoping to make the England squad for the 2026 World Cup tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
