Premier League giants Liverpool have reportedly set their sights on Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush as the long-term successor to his compatriot Mohamed Salah.
The Anfield outfit are now preparing for life after their star winger, who is expected to leave Anfield at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Salah, whose future at the club has been the subject of increasing speculation, is tipped for a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League in the near future.
Despite reaffirming his commitment to Liverpool for the ongoing season, the club is said to be actively scouting potential replacements for the 32-year-old forward.
According to German outlet Sport Bild, via Paisley Gates, Liverpool have emerged as the main contenders for Marmoush’s signature, with the 25-year-old attracting the interest of top European clubs, including Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
Marmoush has been in sensational form for Eintracht Frankfurt this season, netting an impressive 11 goals in just 10 Bundesliga appearances.
With his stock on the rise, the Cairo-born attacker is said to be ready to make the leap to the Premier League and join one of England’s most storied clubs.
