Liverpool are reportedly exploring options for their frontline, scouting forwards Antoine Semenyo and Bryan Mbeumo amid uncertainty surrounding Mohamed Salah’s future at the club. With Salah’s contract set to expire at the end of the season, Liverpool appear to be preparing for all possible outcomes, should the Egyptian star not renew his deal.

Salah, now 32, has been instrumental to Liverpool’s success, scoring six goals in his first nine Premier League appearances this season.

His contributions remain crucial to manager Arne Slot’s attacking lineup, which also features Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, and Cody Gakpo.

Despite his pivotal role, the question of whether Salah will continue with Liverpool beyond this season looms large.

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool’s scouting efforts include keeping a close eye on Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo and Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.

These players are reportedly viewed as promising prospects who could help fill the gap if Salah departs.

Semenyo, currently excelling at Bournemouth, has attracted attention for his strong start to the season.

The 24-year-old forward was initially signed from the Championship by Bournemouth’s sporting director, Richard Hughes, who previously held the same role at Liverpool.

Semenyo’s form has reportedly piqued Liverpool’s interest, as his profile aligns with the club’s needs for a dynamic and versatile forward.

Bryan Mbeumo has likewise captured attention with a remarkable run at Brentford.

Following the departure of Ivan Toney to the Saudi Pro League, Mbeumo has stepped up as Brentford’s primary attacking force, netting eight goals in his first nine league appearances this season.

Known for his speed, dribbling skills, and set-piece prowess, Mbeumo has become a vital asset for Brentford and has seen his stock rise considerably over the past year.

The Cameroon international’s consistency and technical skill make him an attractive option for Liverpool’s future plans.

Under Arne Slot’s guidance, Liverpool have had a strong start to the season, currently sitting second in the Premier League behind an unbeaten Manchester City.

The Reds have recorded seven wins in nine league matches and recently secured a valuable point on the road against Arsenal.

Additionally, Liverpool are enjoying success in the revamped Champions League, notching victories over AC Milan, Bologna, and RB Leipzig in their group-stage matches.

As Liverpool weigh their options, the scouting of Semenyo and Mbeumo reflects a proactive approach by Slot and the club’s leadership to prepare for potential changes in their forward line.

The club’s readiness to adapt underscores their commitment to maintaining their competitive edge, regardless of Salah’s eventual decision on his future.
