Liverpool prospect Karim Ahmed dreaming of playing for Egypt

Egyptian prospect Karim Ahmed has shared his excitement and pride at being called up to the national team, highlighting the special significance of joining his teammates during Ramadan.

The Liverpool academy player spoke of his strong ties to Egypt, noting that this marks his fourth visit to the country, with his mother from Alexandria and father from Tanta.

He praised the “National Teams Centre” for its excellent facilities, describing it as the perfect environment to develop both technical and physical abilities.

On the technical side, Karim emphasised the value of his relationship with the national team’s technical director, Wael Riad, saying their collaboration has been key to enhancing his performance on the field.

The youngster also revealed that he has received guidance from Egyptian star Mohamed Salah during their time together at Liverpool.

Salah encouraged him to remain dedicated and work hard, reinforcing Karim’s ambition to one day wear the Egyptian national team jersey.
