Liverpool prepare final bid for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh
Liverpool are weighing a third and potentially final offer for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh as the transfer deadline approaches.
The Gambia international has become a major target for the Reds, who have already seen bids of £50 million and £60 million rejected. Brighton are holding firm on a £70 million valuation.
Liverpool could initially return with a proposal worth around £65 million, although Brighton reportedly believe the deal would be completed if the offer reached their full asking price. The coming days may therefore determine whether Minteh begins a new chapter at Anfield.
The 22-year-old is not Liverpool’s only attacking target, but his pace, direct running and ability to operate from wide positions have made him an attractive option for manager Andoni Iraola. Liverpool are also pursuing Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola and have considered young forward Ibrahim Mbaye.
The club’s recruitment plans could affect Cody Gakpo. Liverpool are more likely to retain the Netherlands international if they sign Barcola and one additional winger. However, landing two new wide players could encourage Tottenham to make an approach for Gakpo, who is reportedly valued at approximately £70 million.
For now, Minteh remains Liverpool’s immediate focus as Brighton await a decisive proposal.
