Egyptian international Mohammed Salah has a pool of offers as he nears the expiration of his contract at Premier League outfit, Liverpool.
Despite few months to end of his contract, Salah has yet to sign a new deal with the Premier League club.
Salah will become a free agent in June 2025 and will depart the club if he is unable to extend his deal.
Despite numerous Saudi offers, Slot has reiterated his outfit desire to keep the former Chelsea and Roma star.
“I would be surprised if anyone in the world said: ‘We don’t need Mo Salah.’ He has played at such a high level for so many years that probably everyone wants him. He’s done just fine without my advice for a long time, so he’ll likely continue making the best decisions for his career even without my input.
Everyone wants him, including us—we obviously want him to extend his contract. That’s clear. I’m not surprised that Saudi Arabia wants him, but I wouldn’t be surprised if other countries want him too. He’s old enough and wise enough, and he’s made so many smart decisions in his career that I’m sure he’ll make the right choice for himself—and hopefully for us,” said Slot.
Salah has been instrumental for the Reds this season, scoring 23 goals and providing 17 assists from 32 games across competitions.
