Liverpool manager Arne Slot holds crunch meeting with Mohamed Salah
Liverpool manager Arne Slot met with Mohamed Salah on Friday morning for what has been described as a showdown meeting following the recent impasses.
The meeting followed a turbulent week in which Slot excluded Salah from the squad that travelled to face Inter Milan in the Champions League.
The decision came shortly after Salah granted a controversial interview in which he criticised the club’s hierarchy. In comments that raised eyebrows across the football world, the Egyptian star said he had been “thrown under the bus” and admitted he had “no relationship” with Slot.
His remarks fuelled widespread speculation that Liverpool’s upcoming league match against Brighton could mark his final appearance for the club.
Addressing the situation, Slot said, “I will have a conversation with Mo this morning, and the outcome of that conversation determines how it will look tomorrow. I have no reason not wanting him to stay, if that is a little bit of an answer.”
The meeting, according to sources, happened on Friday morning, but the club has not released any statement on the outcome.
