Liverpool linked with Brentford and Senegal left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf

Senegal international El Hadji Malick Diouf, currently at Brentford, has been linked with a move to Premier League club Liverpool.

The 21-year-old left-back joined Brentford from West Ham United on 28 August 2026 in a deal worth €40.8m. His current market value is listed at €35m, and he is under contract with Brentford until 30 June 2031.

Diouf has made five Premier League appearances for Brentford this season, playing 154 minutes. He has also featured three times in the EFL Cup and once in the Championship, without scoring or providing an assist.

The defender has also made three appearances for Senegal at the 2026 World Cup, starting two matches. He moved to English football after spending the 2025-26 campaign with West Ham, having previously won the Czech title with Slavia Prague in 2024-25.

Brentford’s substantial investment in Diouf and the length of his contract could make any potential deal a significant one, although no transfer has been confirmed. The reported interest comes only two months after his arrival in west London, where he remains contracted through the end of the 2030-31 season.
