English side Liverpool are working to complete the signings of Swedish striker of Eritrean descent Alexander Isak and England defender of Ivorian roots Marc Guehi as soon as possible.
Sources have indicated that the English Premier League champions want to secure the two signings before transfer deadline day.
According to sources, the Premier League champions have already reached agreements with both players, but the moves remain on hold as Newcastle United and Crystal Palace search for suitable replacements.
The Reds are confident negotiations will be finalised soon, with Isak pushing for the switch and Guehi also open to joining the Merseyside club.
