Liverpool eye Real Oviedo winger Haissem Hassan in low-cost transfer move
Liverpool are exploring a move for Egypt and France-eligible winger Haissem Hassan from Real Oviedo as they assess wide attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season. The 24-year-old, who plays predominantly on the right and favours his left foot, is under contract with the Spanish side until June 2027 but is understood to be attracting interest after an impressive year in Spain and at the 2026 World Cup.
Hassan joined Oviedo from Villarreal in August 2024 for a reported fee of 1.5 million and has since established himself as a key figure in the Segunda Division, wearing the number 10 shirt. His performances have helped drive his estimated valuation up to around 3.5 million, a price point that is likely to appeal to clubs seeking relatively low-risk attacking reinforcements.
The Bagnolet-born winger has extensive experience in Spanish football, amassing well over 100 appearances in LaLiga 2 and featuring in both promotion play-offs and the Copa del Rey. On the international stage, he has appeared at the 2026 World Cup, contributing an assist across his two games at the tournament.
Liverpools interest comes at a time when Oviedo face a decision over whether to cash in on a player who has only one year remaining on his deal after the coming season. With Hassan tied down until 2027, the Spanish club are under no immediate pressure to sell, and any negotiations are expected to hinge on how closely potential bids align with his current valuation.
