Premier League giants Liverpool are lining up a sensational move for France international of Ivory Coast descent Eli Junior Kroupi ahead of the winter transfer window.
The Reds, who are keen about strengthening their squad for the new campaign are said to be closely monitoring the 19-year-old forward, whose rapid rise at AFC Bournemouth have caught the attention of the Anfield club.
Kroupi’s displays this season have reportedly left Liverpool’s coaching staff thoroughly impressed, with club executives now considering a formal approach.
The Reds are believed to be preparing a bid in the region of £80 million, an eye-watering figure that would smash Bournemouth’s current transfer record and represent one of the biggest sales in the club’s history.
The young attacker only arrived on the south coast in February 2025 after Bournemouth secured his signature from French side Lorient for a reported fee of €13 million.
Since then, Kroupi has enjoyed an impressive breakthrough campaign, featuring in 23 matches across competitions and scoring eight goals for the Cherries, while showcasing pace, composure, and a natural eye for goal.
Despite his tender age, Kroupi has quickly established himself as one of Bournemouth’s most promising assets. His progress has not gone unnoticed beyond England, but Liverpool appear ready to move decisively in an effort to secure his services ahead of potential competition.
Bournemouth, however, are under no immediate pressure to sell. Kroupi is tied to the club on a long-term contract that runs until 2030, giving them a strong negotiating position.
The reported £80 million price tag underlines both his potential and the premium attached to elite young talent in today’s market.
Should the move materialize, it would not only mark a staggering return on Bournemouth’s initial investment but also reinforce the club’s growing reputation for identifying, developing, and profiting from emerging stars on the Premier League stage.
