Liverpool eye €40m move for RB Leipzig wonderkid Assan Ouédraogo
Liverpool FC are reportedly monitoring highly rated German teenager of Burkina Faso descent, Assan Ouédraogo, as the Premier League giants continue to search for young talents capable of strengthening their squad for the future.
The 19-year-old has emerged as one of the brightest prospects at RB Leipzig despite enduring several injury setbacks during his early development.
Ouédraogo has impressed with his performances in midfield and recently enhanced his growing reputation after scoring on his debut for the German national team.
According to reports from German outlet Bild, Liverpool have added the youngster to their transfer shortlist and could consider submitting an offer worth around €40 million.
However, RB Leipzig are reportedly in no rush to part ways with the midfielder, who is viewed as a key figure in the club’s long-term project.
The Bundesliga side have Ouédraogo under contract until 2029, and the deal does not include a release clause, further strengthening Leipzig’s position in any potential negotiations.
Reports suggest the German club currently have no plans to sell the teenager, especially for the reported €40 million figure being discussed.
