Liverpool consider Moussa Diaby as Mohamed Salah’s future replacement

Liverpool has reportedly opened talks with the representatives of Al-Ittihad winger Moussa Diaby as they quietly plan for life after Mohamed Salah.

The club is said to view the Frenchman as one of several possible successors, with Salah widely expected to leave Anfield next summer after a hugely successful spell on Merseyside.

Diaby is a familiar face to Premier League fans, having shone for Aston Villa in the 2023/24 campaign before securing a £52 million move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.

His pace, direct dribbling, and creativity have made him a standout option in Saudi Arabia, where he has produced eight goals and 29 assists in 61 appearances so far.

Liverpool is not alone in their interest. Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, and Chelsea are also believed to be monitoring the 26-year-old, underlining how highly rated he remains across England’s top flight.

With several elite clubs circling and Salah’s future unresolved, Diaby’s next move could become one of the most talked-about transfer stories of the upcoming window.
