Liverpool and Manchester United weigh January move for Juventus winger Francisco Conceicao

Liverpool and Manchester United are considering a move for Juventus and Portugal winger Francisco Conceicao during the January transfer window.

According to Calciomercato, both clubs are assessing whether to strengthen their attacking options when the market reopens.

Conceicao is no longer regarded as an automatic first choice in Luciano Spalletti’s Juventus side. The 23-year-old has started five Serie A matches during the 2026-2027 season, contributing one goal and one assist.

His opportunities have been affected in part by injuries. Spalletti is also expected to have five options available on the wings once his squad is fully fit, which could further reduce Conceicao’s role.

Juventus are therefore understood to be willing to listen to offers for the player. The Italian club have placed a €40m valuation on him, equivalent to £34.3m.

Conceicao has made 88 appearances for Juventus, scoring 12 goals and creating 12 more. He has also won 21 caps for Portugal.

However, there is a belief that he could initially fill a back-up role if he moved to either Liverpool or Manchester United. Both clubs already have several established choices in wide positions, while Conceicao’s overall figures may not be enough to move him ahead of their existing options.

Across 128 appearances in the top flights of Italy and Portugal, Conceicao has scored 14 goals and provided 17 assists.

Different starts for Premier League clubs

Liverpool have begun the season unbeaten and sit sixth in the league table, with Andoni Iraola satisfied with the team’s start.

Manchester United are 12th after winning only once in their opening five matches.

Those circumstances could influence the clubs’ interest in Conceicao, although a deal is thought to be realistic only if Juventus reduce their asking price.
