Liverpool and Arsenal interested in Franco-Ivorian sensation Eli Junior Kroupi
France international of Ivory Coast descent Eli Junior Kroupi has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League duo of Liverpool and Chelsea as the summer transfer window approaches.
Both clubs have been closely monitoring the 21-year-old’s rapid development at AFC Bournemouth, with scouts particularly impressed by his recent standout performance against Arsenal.
His blend of movement, finishing ability, and composure in the final third has placed him firmly on the radar of two of England’s biggest clubs.
Kroupi’s rise has been steady but increasingly eye-catching. This season, he has made 29 appearances across all competitions, totaling around 1,400 minutes of action, and has already registered 10 goals — a return that underlines his growing influence despite not being an undisputed starter.
His performances have not gone unnoticed in the transfer market. The French attacker is currently valued at around €40 million by Transfermarkt, but Bournemouth are expected to demand a significantly higher fee if they are forced into negotiations, with reports suggesting a potential price tag in the region of £55–60 million.
Among the interested clubs, Liverpool appear to hold a slight advantage. The Merseyside club’s project and squad planning strategy could allow them to move decisively, especially as they look to reinforce their attacking depth ahead of a demanding campaign.
For Arsenal, however, the situation is more complex. Any serious move is expected to depend heavily on their qualification for the UEFA Champions League, which could influence both financial flexibility and sporting appeal. Without that qualification, a deal of such magnitude may prove difficult to complete.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth are under no pressure to sell and are prepared to resist early approaches, particularly given Kroupi’s importance to their attacking structure and long-term planning. The club views him as one of their most valuable assets in a squad that continues to punch above its weight in the Premier League.
As the summer transfer window approaches, competition for Kroupi’s signature is expected to intensify further, with multiple top clubs monitoring his progress closely. What is already clear is that his performances have elevated him into one of the most sought-after young forwards in English football.
For now, Bournemouth’s rising star remains focused on his development — but if his current trajectory continues, Junior Kroupi could soon find himself at the centre of one of the Premier League’s biggest transfer battles.
