Liverpool have reportedly agreed a deal in principle with Dutch defender of Ghanaian descent Jeremie Frimpong.
The English Premier League club wants to secure the services of the versatile defender from Bayer Leverkusen to replace departing Englishman Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The need for a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold comes after the defender announced last week that he will leave Liverpool when his contract expires at the end of the 2024/25 football season.
With the Reds now in the market for a right-back, officials have set their sights on bringing Jeremie Frimpong on board.
Sources have revealed that Jeremie Frimpong has a release clause of just 30 million pounds and could even go for a bit less if Liverpool negotiates well.
In addition to Frimpong, Liverpool are also keeping an eye on Nigerian full-back Ola Aina.
If the move to sign Jeremie Frimpong fails, the club will work on a deal for the Super Eagles full-back.
