CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe will address the media in Dar es Salaam on Friday following a pivotal Executive Committee meeting that is expected to focus on preparations for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations AFCON 2027.
The press conference is taking place at the Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam at 13:30 local time (10:00 GMT / 12:30 Cairo time) and will be streamed live on CAF’s official YouTube platform, CAF TV.
The briefing follows the CAF Executive Committee (EXCO) meeting chaired by Dr Motsepe, where members are set to deliberate on a range of matters, including East Africa’s readiness to host the 2027 tournament.
With CAF inspectors currently assessing stadiums and infrastructure across Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, the president’s remarks are expected to provide clarity on the next steps in the countdown to the continental showpiece.
AFCON 2027 will mark the first time the tournament is co-hosted by three East African nations under the “PAMOJA” banner.
Supporters, stakeholders and media across the continent will be closely watching the live broadcast for updates on CAF’s position and the future direction of preparations.
The live stream will be available globally via CAF’s official digital platforms.
